Directors statement:
As a video professional and growing up on a farm in Nebraska, I’ve always been fascinated by the illicit and forbidden undertones of the hemp plant. “Ditchweed” grows absolutely everywhere in the midwest, regardless of pesticides, taking over ditches and unfarmed patches of earth. March of 2020, I contacted Chad Frey at Nebraska Hemp Industries Association, who steered me to the man who literally wrote the book on hemp.
Dr. Allan Jenkins from University Nebraska Kearney is the formative statesman of Hemp. Through producing the pilot, Allan has been nothing but gracious to point us in the direction of some of the interesting characters that are growing this industry. Through these introductions I realized that a seemingly indestructible, highly sustainable plant like Hemp is exactly what the world needs for the 21st Century. Peace.
